Pato – Milan have always been a winning team

AC Milan, Alexandre Pato | 2012-08-03 11:37

AC Milan attacker Alexandre Pato has insisted that AC Milan have what it takes to win the Serie A title, and succeed in the new campaign.

Milan have lost some of their biggest stars, this summer, including Alessandro Nesta, Thiago Silva, Clarence Seedorf and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among others, but the Brazilian striker insisted that the team will still perform a good 2012-13 term.

“Milan have always been a team of winners, even after they lost some high-profile names,” Pato was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am convinced that we can fight for the Scudetto again this time, too. We are strong in every position and I'm confident we'll do well.”

“Ibrahimovic is a great champion and he has done some very good things for the club. However, I think we can cope with his departure.”

The rossoneri will begin the new Italian league season, at home against Sampdoria on August 26.
