Olympics: Oscar scores as Brazil progress to quarter-finals

Brazil have qualified to the Olympic Games quarter-finals stage, after defeating Belarus by 3-1, on Sunday afternoon.

The East European side were the first to reach the goal, thanks to the effort Renan Bressan, at just nine minutes into the game.

However, AC Milan ace, Alexandre Pato, levelled the score for Mano Menezes side, just six minutes later, at 15’.

In the second-half, Barcelona target Neymar put Brazil on the lead, for the first time during the game, at 65 minutes, while new Chelsea signing, Oscar, sealed the 3-1 final result, with a 90th minute netting.

With six points, and sitting at the top of Group C, Brazil have progressed to the quarter-finals.

Mexico also win

Meanwhile, Mexico have also conquered a Sunday afternoon victory, as part of the Olympic Games, beating Gabon by 2-0.

Tottenham playmaker, Giovani dos Santos shined for his home country, scoring a stunning double, at 62’ and 91’, offering the win to Mexico.
