Messi – Alexis Sanchez will be an important player for Barça

Barcelona, Lionel Messi, Açexis Sanchez | 2012-07-29 16:05

Lionel Messi was full of praising words to his Barcelona team-mate Alexis Sanchez, whom he believes will become a crucial member of the Catalans’ team.

The Blaugrana outfit duo scored five of their club’s eight goals over Raja Casablanca, at a friendly match, last night, and the Argentine diminutive acknowledged it is time for Sanchez to glow.

“Alexis has been with the team for a while. Last season he had a bit of bad luck with injuries, but he will be an important player for Barca,” Messi told the club’s official website.

Despite scoring a glorious 8-0 defeat over Raja, the Barcelona star admitted that there is still room for improvement for the Camp Nou outfit, ahead of the new season.

“We felt some fatigue tonight. It was a bit hard for us, but it is normal during the pre-season,” he added.

“We are training well and improving physically. We hope to enter the season in the best possible way.”

“I have not rested this much in a long time. I always arrive late in the pre-seasons and it is good that I will be here for the entirety of it. I think all will go well.”
