Tottenham and Liverpool score goalless friendly

Tottenham, Villas-Boas, Liverpool, Bale | 2012-07-28 20:42

Tottenham and Liverpool were held in a scoreless draw in a pre-season friendly, in Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday evening.

Gareth Bale played the full 90 minutes for Spurs, his second club appearance, in the pre-season campaign, after withdrawing from Team GB in the Olympics, due to injury.

However, both Andre Villas-Boas and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers opted for a mix of experienced and younger players.

The game had no remarkable events, starting at a very slow pace, due to the sweltering conditions in the M&T Bank Stadium.

This was the second draw score recorded by the White Hart Lane outfit, after a 1-1 tie with LA Galaxy, last Wednesday.
