BREAKING: Alex Ferguson confirms interest in Van Persie

Manchester United, Robin van Persie | 2012-07-20 18:21

Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, has confirmed that his side are interested in bringing Arsenal star, Robin van Persie, to the Old Trafford.

Although Premier League champions, Manchester City, are believed to be at pole position to sign the Dutch player, the Red Devils boss has admitted that Manchester United want to sign Gunners ace.

“Obviously Arsenal have given out the fact that we've made a bid for him,” the Scotsman said to MUTV.

“We try to keep business as close as possible to us until the moment we conclude a deal. There's no point talking about something that might not happen.”
