PSG confirm Nene stay

Paris Saint-Germain, Nene | 2012-07-20 17:57

Paris Saint-Germain have released a statement confirming that attacking midfielder Nene will not be allowed to join Brazilian side Corinthians, as he is staying at the Parc des Princes for the projected future.

“Nene was informed today by the PSG's sporting director, Leonardo, that he will not be released to join Corinthians. Thus, there is no possibility for the midfielder to return to Brazil for the moment,” read a statement from PSG, via Twitter.

The goal-scoring midfielder has arrived at the French capital giants in 2010, making a total of 93 appearances and netting 49 times for the club.

Nene is, therefore, expected to sign a new deal with Carlo Ancelotti side, over the next few days, ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign.
