Fenerbahce have completed the signing of Liverpool attacker, Dirk Kuyt, on a three-year deal, the club have announced.

The Dutch forward is thought to have cost the Turkish side a fee surrounding the €1m (£800,000), because of a clause in his contract regarding European clubs.

The 31-year-old struggled to secure a regular place at Liverpool, especially under Kenny Dalglish’s 18-month helm, and he has already expressed his wish to pursue his career elsewhere.

Kuyt arrived at the Anfield Road from Feyenoord in 2006, in a £10m deal. He managed to conquer one title, at the service of the Reds, the Carling Cup in February, this year, where he gained praise for his hold-up play up front.
