Manchester United left-back, Fábio, is reportedly one of the players which could be included in the Red Devils negotiations with Benfica, regarding the signing of Gaitán. According to the Brazilian player's agent, Fábio would agree to move to the Portuguese side.

"There is nothing solid, just rumours for now, but Sir Alex Ferguson has already spoke to Fábio," Cassiano Pereira, Fabio's agent, told Portuguese website, Maisfutebol.

"He has not played much, because of Evra, and the coach wants him to gain more experience, so he mentioned Benfica to him."

"It was a suggestion very well accepted by both Fábio and I."

"As far as I am concerned Manchester United are interested in signing a Benfica player, Gaitán."

Therefore, according to the 21-year-old player's agent, even though "nothing is decided", the negotiations could be completed until the end of the current month and the objective is to reunite the Old Trafford side directors, so that they can define Fabio's future.

"As soon as Manchester United give us the green light, we will begin talks with Benfica, to see their conditions and Fábio will have the opportunity to know the country better."
