Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his satisfaction with his side's 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid, where he scored a stunning hat-trick and assisted for a fourth goal, saying that he couldn't have done what he did without his team-mates.

The Portuguese attacker has also highlighted the importance of the three points earned at the Madrid derby, as the merengues increased their gap from Barcelona, at the top of the Spanish league table.

"There is a lot left, but winning La Liga has got closer now. There was pressure on us because we knew Barcelona had won their match. We are still four points clear," Ronaldo told reporters.

"I am very happy to have scored and picked up an assist," he noted. "We have to continue like this."

"I am very happy, but without my team-mates I could not have done it."

"We knew this was going to be a tough match, but we gave a good account of ourselves against a very strong Atletico side."
