Newcastle United have climbed back into the Premier League top-five as they saw winter signing Papiss Cissé sink Swansea City (0-2).

The Magpies grabbed maximum points in South Wales to overhaul the Blues and make pressure to secure a top-four spot in the standings.

The former Freiburg striker saved the day for Alan Pardew's men and didn't take long to become the hero for Newcastle as he opened the score only five minutes into the game.

The second goal, at 69', crushed Swansea's hopes of getting back into the game and put Newcastle in the fifth position, in a provisional swap with Chelsea.

Newcastle have 56 points, three more than Di Matteo's men, while the Swans could be outranked by Norwich City and Stoke in the 11th position.
