Valencia win PSV Eindhoven at home (4-2)

Valencia have achieved an important 4-2 victory against PSV Eindhoven, gaining advantage over the Dutch side, in the first leg of the Europa League final-16 round tie.

The Spaniards went to halftime with a 3-0 advantage over PSV, thanks to a Victor Ruiz effort, at 11’, and a Roberto Soldado double at 13’ and 43’, the second being a penalty goal.

At the second-half, Pablo Piatti increased Valencia’s advantage to 4-0 in the 56th minute, but PSV managed to score two away goals, with a Toivonen penalty kick, at 83’, and a final effort from Wijnaldum which determined the final 4-2 score.
