Tim Howard signs new four-year contract with Everton

Everton, Tim Howard | 2012-03-08 17:22

Everton goalkeeper, Tim Howard, has signed a new four-year deal with the Premier League side, extending his stay until 2016.

The American goalkeeper was thrilled to reveal that he has extended his deal with Everton for another four years.

It's a place that is home for me
"I couldn't be happier. I've had a smile on my face ever since we finalised the deal," Howard told the club's official website.

"When you have a really good relationship in life and both sides are eager to continue and  keep that going, it's a no-brainer.

"It's a place that is home for me," the acclaimed goalkeeper concluded.

Howard has secured a regular place at Everton's starting XI since arriving at the team from Manchester United in 2006, on an initial loan-based deal before signing a permanent deal in the following season.

Since then, the 33-year-old man has made a total of 250 appearances for David Moyes' side.
