Köln striker Lukas Podolski is set to join Arsenal in the summer, German newspaper Bild reports.

The player is understood to have reached an agreement for a permanent deal with the Gunners, and the transfer isn’t yet concluded because there are still a few financial details to discuss.

The 26 year-old, who is tied to Köln until the summer of 2013, is expected to have his first experience outside the Bundesliga, after playing for Bayern Munich between two successful spells at Cologne.
