Tèvez played 45 minutes at Manchester City's reserved squad

Manchester City, Carlos Tèvez | 2012-02-28 17:52

Carlos Tèvez has returned to the pitch over half-a-year after he refused to come in as a substitute for Manchester City. The polemical player's return happened on Tuesday afternoon at the service of the Citizens' reserved squad, where they lost 3-1 against Preston North End.

According to a statement from the Ettihad Stadium club, the match happened in closed doors, and Tèvez came in after halftime, where he performed discreetly without creating any threats to the opponents side.

Jamie Proctor, at 66', Rees Murphy, at 74' and Michael McLellan, at 78', scored the three Preston North End goals, while Scapuzzi was the only Manchester City goalscorer of the afternoon, at 71 minutes.
