David Silva delighted with life at Manchester City

Manchester City, David Silva | 2012-02-28 15:57

Manchester City's David Silva declared that he is not considering a return to his homeland Spain, as he is happy with his life in England and at the Premier League.

The Spain international, who arrived at Manchester City from Valencia in 2010,  in a reported £25m transfer deal, expressed his satisfaction with his life at the Ettihad Stadium after los che were 'forced' to sell some of their highgest quality players, due to financial questions.

City were the ones that wanted me the most
"I was very happy at Valencia, but because of some circumstances I had to leave. City were the ones that wanted me the most," Silva told Onda Cero.

"I am very happy in England, I have two years left on my contract and I want to see it out."

"Right now, I do not want to return [to Spain], I am enjoying life in England, people treat me wonderfully and I want to continue enjoying this," the 26-year-old man added.

"Mancini has complete trust in me, which is very important for a player and I am very happy. My team-mates are adapting well to my game and that is very good for me."

Then the Citizens midfielder rejected that La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid were also looking to sign him before he moved to the Premier League.

"Neither Barca, nor Madrid made any move. City were the ones to make a move and that is why I am here," he continued.

"I am where I am wanted."

Fernando Torres axe

Finally, David Silva mentioned Fernando Torres' axe from Vicente Del Bosque's squad in the Spain's national friendly match with Venezuela.

"Torres is a great player and he has given a lot to the Spain national team. He is not in a good moment, but he will return to his best and he will bring a lot to the team again."

"I am sure he is not well, but he is very strong and I am sure he will pick himself up."
